You can find KYOWA members meeting on the second Saturday of the month. Our new home is the Summit Branch of the Boyd County Library. Meetings begin at 11:30am. Public sessions in even months begin at 1pm.

At the February meeting, Mary will present a nuts-and-bolts workshop “Colons, Commas, and Things that Go Bump in the Write: The Perils and Pitfalls of Punctuation and Grammar.”
The workshop is open to the public and the chapter meeting will follow.
Recent Events
January - The Interesting Life of Herbs
At the January meeting, Gail Rice, Head Weeder at McConnell House Herb Garden in Wurtland, KY, presented some great information about the various uses of herbs. We were pleased with some of the more “unusual” qualities of herbs. Gail is a member of the Kentucky Herb Association.
Project Update:
Stemming from the “Writing from Your Life Workshop” in May, KYOWA members Helen, Cathie and Mary volunteered time and resources at the Kings Daughters & Sons Home for Aged Men & Women. In house volunteers gathered Christmas memories from many of the residents. The stories were then compiled into booklets to share with family and friends.October 9, 2004 - New Officers Installed
At our anniversary meeting, new officers were installed. Helen continues to serve as our President. Lisa, a first time office holder, is Vice-President. Mary is once again our Secretary and Cathie is serving another term as Treasurer.
